It’s easy to talk about getting away. Vans Behaving Badly is about finding the people who make you actually put a weekend in the diary.
A new view. A decent walk. A kettle that’s rarely off. A bit of conversation that doesn’t start with, “Just a quick work question…”
Your van. Your kind of weekend.
Simple conversion or all the extras. The idea is to enjoy the trip, not turn the campsite into a competition.
A little mischief. Plenty of respect.
The name is a wink, not an excuse to be a nuisance. Good to the people, good to the place. Bad at staying home.

VansBB is open across the UK. The plan is to let interest shape where meet-ups and weekends happen, rather than draw a map of groups that don’t exist yet.

Who is the club for?
VansBB is a UK-wide campervan club for men, aimed roughly at 35–55. That describes the intended audience rather than a published age cut-off. The common ground is enjoying campervans, good company and getting away.
Can I come without knowing anyone?
Meeting new people is the point of the club. The first-time welcome above sets out the approach we want for future gatherings. Each confirmed event should make the host and arrival arrangements clear.
Do I need an expensive or particular kind of van?
No van snobbery here. A simple conversion or a van with all the extras: it is the trip and the company that matter. Any vehicle or campsite requirements will need to be clear for a particular event. Hired-van and motorhome arrangements have not yet been set as formal club policies.
Will there be something near me?
The club is open across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Locations will depend on interest and practical arrangements. There are no confirmed regional groups or local event dates listed yet.
What does joining cost?
Membership arrangements, any fees and event prices have not yet been set. Registering interest is not agreeing to a paid membership. No payment is collected on this website.
What about dogs, partners or children?
VansBB is being developed as the men’s club. Dog, guest and family arrangements still need deciding and would need to be stated clearly for each event. Joint events with Vanageddon are not assumed.
Does registering interest book me onto a trip?
No. It simply tells the organiser that you are interested in the club. Confirming attendance and booking a campsite pitch would be separate steps with their own details and any costs made clear.
Is this connected to Vanageddon?
Yes. Vanageddon is the separate sister campervan club, currently aimed at women of roughly the same age. It has its own identity and website. An enquiry to VansBB does not join you to Vanageddon.
